Every made-to-measure gown begins with a conversation. A small, highly specialised team follows each client from the first idea to the final fitting: choosing the fabrics, ornaments and embroidery, and finishing each detail by hand.
The house is known for its hand-built corsets and couture gowns, made to the standard of the great Parisian ateliers.
The corset
Galit's corsets are built like architecture. Up to four kinds of stiffened material are layered onto the lining, some shaped specifically to lift and support the bust. Onto that skeleton go the bones, chosen for the design, up to 150 in a single corset, so the body is held and shaped in the most flattering way.
Each corset is draped freely on the mannequin and finished by hand with gems, pearls, beads and crystals.
