About the Brand

The DNA of the Galit Levi brand can be summarized in three words: Temptation (alluring, sophisticated, and dramatic designs), Attention (to every minute detail in design, choice of materials, execution, and customer customization and satisfaction), and Passion (for producing elaborate, inspiring, and unique creations). Every design carrying Galit Levi's signature perfectly embodies these words.

Galit Levi, a native of Tel Aviv, spent her career at the forefront of fashion. In 1995, she began a sweeping makeover of the bridal and evening wear industry with the opening of her flagship store in Tel Aviv. Levi's flourishing international career began after she designed her own extraordinary, handcrafted wedding dress made of pink lace and gold threading. Within two months of her wedding, Levi received dozens of orders for bespoke bridal gowns. This was subsequently augmented by her expertly designed and constructed corsets, which use about 120 bones to increase or decrease the chest depending on customer requirements. The corsets have catapulted her to the top of the global fashion industry.

Today, Galit Levi continues to showcase collections known for their sophistication, sense of drama, feminine detailing, and modern approach to bridal design. Galit Levi Design is one of the foremost international haute couture bridal, eveningwear, and beachwear brands. The brand is a leader in the design, marketing, and distribution of premium luxury products in the following apparel categories: Bridal wear, Haute Couture, Ready-to-Wear, Lingerie & Underwear, Accessories, Swimwear, and Casual/Resort wear.

Levi is the only designer in the world whose designs have won the "Most Beautiful Dress in the World" international competition twice, in 1999 and 2019.

For over 20 years, Galit Levi's reputation and distinctive image have constantly evolved through consistent development across an expanding number of products, sub-brands, and international markets. The brand reflects Galit’s vision of creating a lifestyle brand that goes beyond its core roots and also encompasses shapers, beauty products, fragrances, home artifacts, linen and towels, and even publishing. The company's brand names, which include "Galit Levi," "GL," and "Galit Levi Beach Couture," are widely acclaimed as Israel's most globally recognized brands of high-end consumer products.

The company began exporting to the world’s fashion capitals, and landed in boutiques and upscale department stores in Europe and North America, such as Harrods and Harvey Nichols. The brand is also present in boutiques and upscale department stores in various countries including Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Italy, and the US. In addition, Levi has established and operates a buyer's boutique bridal and evening wear showroom in New York City.

Building upon the brand's success, Galit Levi later expanded into swimwear with the creation of a prestigious line of bathing suits called Galit Levi Beach Couture, which was sold in around 250 retail outlets globally, including in Greece, Turkey, and other countries.

Galit Levi's talent and designs did not go unnoticed, and the GL collection made an appearance on an exclusive fashion network. Levi also attended Fashion Week "Haute Couture" in Rome, representing Israel alongside notable designers Valentino and Lacroix. Notably, the models who showcased the GL collection were featured in the best-selling fashion book "Collezioni."

Levi continued to broaden her brand's offerings by launching new lines of lingerie and sexy sleepwear, designed with Goliath and branded as "Galit Levi Underwear," and a line of shapers marketed under the slogan "My Secrets Under the Clothes."

In addition to fashion, Galit Levi expanded into the home design market with the launch of a collection of bed sheets and towels. This Home Design line is now available in over 100 stores across Israel, and the brand has also launched another home design line called "GL Home Fashion."

Throughout her career, Levi was not only a well-respected designer but also served as the face of many companies in the fashion and lifestyle industry, and appeared in commercials for many Israeli brands. She also made guest appearances in several TV series and even participated in a reality show in Israel.

Galit Levi's work continued to draw attention, with her gowns and wedding dresses making appearances on popular TV shows such as MTV Wild Up Out and Desus & Mero on Show Time, dressed by renowned actresses Erica Thom and Julia Young, respectively.
